Chief Engineer Murray Gillon understands dams and dam owners.

As a specialist dam safety advisor, dam owners put their most valuable assets in his hands. They trust him, not only because of his years of experience, but because he is smart and innovative with an international reputation for excellence.

Murray has played a leading role in the international dam safety community, elected Chairman of the ICOLD Reservoir Stability Committee from 1994-2000, and with many published papers.

In New Zealand, Murray has had leading roles in the Clyde Dam, Second Manapouri Tailrace Tunnel, Karapiro Dam stability enhancement and Matahina Dam strengthening projects. Internationally, he has worked for clients in Australia, China, Fiji, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Murray is a civil engineer with more than 35 years experience in design, construction and operation of dams and power stations. He has worked in both the public and private sectors for owners and consultants.
